Record number of entries for ShAFF, RockClimbingUK

8th Dec 2010

The 6th annual Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (4-6 March 2011) has received a record-breaking number of entries this year.  ShAFF‘s about showing the best adventure films and animation from around the world. Last year’s Shaff took audiences from the endurance extremes of big-wall free-climbing and cross-continental cycling via the awe-inspiring skill of free-style snowsports, BMXers and parcour runners to the the sublime beauty of Afghanistan’s war-torn wilderness and beyond to the ridiculousness of ski-jumping into an Alpine paddling pool.  This year promises to be even bigger and better. 210 film-makers have submitted films on everything from big-wall climbing to free-style skiing & white-water kayaking, as well as canoeing down the Congo and skate-boarding in Afghanistan. Organiser Matt Heason will short-list his pick of the best to show over the weekend.  Read more on RCUK
