Anyone who enjoys adrenalin-pumping action may want to book UK weekend breaks in Sheffield at the beginning of March.

The city will be hosting its annual Sheffield Adventure Film Festival from March 4th to 6th and the programme of events and movies has now been finalised.

A promotional trailer revealed that audiences can expect to see films featuring everything from breathtaking climbs and exhilarating base jumping to skateboarding in Afghanistan and white-water canoeing.

While organisers have whittled down the entries from over 200 to just 60, the films are not the only things on offer at the event.

In addition, visitors can take in lectures from intrepid explorers and filmmakers, as well as participate in various competitions.

There will also be art and photography exhibitions, live music and urban orienteering to keep people of all ages and interests happy.

Since the festival began in 2006, every visitor has stated that they would return the following year and recommend it to a friend.
